Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Intertitle is a free, private film-taste and journal app. These terms are the agreement between you and the developer for using it. We've kept them short and readable. By using Intertitle, you agree to them.
01 Who we are
Intertitle (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed and operated by Diego Gonzalez / LOJIK Labs, based in Mexico (“the Developer”). You can reach us at support@intertitle.app.
02 Your license to use Intertitle
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Intertitle for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment of films. The app is free — there are no payments, no subscriptions, and no ads. We may offer, change, or discontinue features at any time.
03 Your account
You sign in with Sign in with Apple or with an email one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for the activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Intertitle.
04 Acceptable use
When using Intertitle, you agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights
- Attempt to access another user's data, or use someone else's Letterboxd account or identity that you don't control
- Probe, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the app, its servers, or its rate limits
- Misuse the AI companion to generate unlawful, abusive, or harmful content
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its output
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or that threatens the service or other users.
05 Your content
You own the content you create in Intertitle — your ratings, notes, reviews, watch history, and the messages you write to the AI companion. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the app and provide its features to you (for example, sending your chat messages and film context to our AI provider to generate a reply). We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't sell it. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
06 Recommendations are for entertainment
Intertitle's recommendations, “tonight” picks, AI companion replies, review synthesis, and year-in-review summaries are generated automatically and are provided for your entertainment only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not to your taste, and they are not professional advice of any kind. Use your own judgment about what to watch.
07 Third-party content & services
Film metadata, posters, and related information are provided by TMDB (The Movie Database). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. The app relies on third-party providers (such as Apple, Anthropic, and others listed in our Privacy Policy) to function, and their terms govern their own services. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.
08 Intellectual property
The Intertitle name, wordmark, design, software, and all related intellectual property belong to the Developer (Diego Gonzalez / LOJIK Labs). Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you beyond the limited license to use the app described above.
09 Termination
You can stop using Intertitle and permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your license to use the app ends.
10 “As is” — no warranty
Intertitle is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any recommendation will meet your expectations.
11 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of Intertitle. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mexico City (Ciudad de México), Mexico, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence.
